ok i realized i haven't uploaded anything in a min. on here so it's time to stop being selfish and hit you peoples off with some stuff i've been working on lately. i've been slacking off a bit so i couldn't be having that, i know if i got in that mode it would be a LONG time before i get the desire to do anything creative (and from what i've noticed i'm not the only artist on dA suffering from lack of inspiration or plagues with laziness).

i made this for a contest a couple months ago. some company in hungary needed a design for their trailer so it was my 1st foray into vexel art, something i've been interested in (as well as vector). after busting my ass for 4-5 days vexeling alot of images i came up with a few and tossed them together before the deadline. since i was the only person at the time who entered i thought my design was a shoe-in. boy was i wrong.

apparently the contest holder's 1st language wasn't english because he was very vague about what he wanted. not only that he got upset with me because the women were silhouettes and not "3D" as he put it. he didn't like the background either and i kinda wasn't pleased with it either, i wanted to use fire textures but didn't have time to throw that together. he puts the contest back up after a few weeks and i was gonna re-enter but decided to fall back because i was working on something else. other entries used photos that i'm sure wern't stock images and the winner was something that looked more like a flyer ad for a nightclub or something instead of a trailer. none of the work was even measured to fit a trailer like mines let alone used dirtbikes, they used licensed photos of motocycles with logos and numbers on them. at that point i knew what dude wanted or close to it. whatever.

i can't EVEN remember most of the images i used for this but they wre all from dA. the only person i can remember is someone i watch--:icontensai-riot: if i remember the others i'll let you know as well as them. i didn't even ask permission to use these which i should've. i should definitely know better.

this was the 1st of many frustrating and disappointing contests i entered only to get extremely burned out with these dumb-asses.

thanx. too bad they didn't think so. if i had more time i mos DEF would've used a flame background for that explosive effect.
